I was captivated by his unique photography and great journaling/calligraphy style. Hello! I’m so excited to present you all this new blog series called EVERYDAY CREATORS, a series in which I interview, you guessed it, EVERYDAY CREATORS. I basically want to share with you all that anybody can take time out of their day and create something. We may not all work in the creative field, but that doesn’t mean that we can’t create beautiful work ourselves. In the coming weeks I will be sharing interviews with people of different walks of life and sharing their experiences, stories and journey in their creative life.

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of visiting The T.I.ME stationery store in Seoul. The whole Traveler’s Notebook community on Instagram has been following the owner, Seong Joon Shin’s journey as he built this amazing stationery heaven from the ground up. Today I wanted to share the process and inspiration behind a brush lettering piece I painted one night while I was looking through old photos. To put into context, I was browsing through photos I took over the summer, and stumbled upon this photo I took from a roof top on a hot summer night.
I can’t believe this is actually happening. I started the Job’s Journal Instagram account back on September 6th, 2015, with hopes of keeping a diary or log of sorts, of my calligraphy and journaling journey. Around the summer of 2015, I decided to pick up a new hobby that I could pursue in South Korea, since I planned to move from Canada to Korea for work that summer.
